Like many companies and individuals across the world, all of us at WDS Components are deeply troubled by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the impact this ongoing situation is having on people and businesses around the world. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by these extraordinary events.

WDS are following all new Regulations, Sanctions and UK Government advice, we have also taken our own steps to limit any risk to our business and to minimise disruption to our customers.

We have taken action to protect WDS Components, our valued Customers and Suppliers.

We have suspended all international trading from our Export divisions with any Russian, Belarusian, or associated companies.

We hereby confirm that all goods delivered and sold by WDS Components LTD since 30th September 2023 onwards are not subject to the prohibitions set out in Article 3g (1) (d) of Council Regulation (EU) 2023/1214 of 23 June 2023 amending Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia's actions,  which destabilize the situation in Ukraine, and no primary materials of Russian origin or manufactured elsewhere using materials of Russian origin, as regulated here, are used.  This confirmation is valid until revocation by WDS Components LTD and covers all deliveries of goods referred to in Article 3g in conjunction with Annex XVII of the currently valid version of the sanction’s measures against Russia.  We also hereby confirm that we acknowledge the fact that changes in the selection of the primary materials used may lead to a direct ban on imports into the European Union and the United Kingdom as signatories to the agreement.

Our Finance department are monitoring the situation surrounding the banking sanctions and continues to follow the sanctions and regulations informed by the UK Government and the financial world.

Our IT department is on heightened alert for any cybersecurity threats as companies and individuals are warned to expect the potential increase of cyberattacks worldwide.

Our procurement department is monitoring our supply chains, from raw materials to purchased parts.  This includes steel materials of Russian origin.

At the time of issue, we have no reported problems with our supply chains because of this ongoing situation.

WDS will continue to monitor the risks to our business and seek cooperation from all our interested parties to mitigate them.
