REACH Statement

The Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation (EC) 1907/2006

WDS Components Limited is a manufacturer and distributor of standard machine parts, fixture components and work-holding equipment.

Under the definition of the REACH regulations EC1907/2006, WDS Components Limited is a producer of “articles”. REACH requires article suppliers to inform recipients if an article contains a Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) in excess of 0.1% by weight. The ECHA published an updated list of the 247 candidate SVHC chemicals on 21st January 2025.

The Company can confirm that all components, assemblies and sub-assemblies supplied do not contain any of 247 SVHC’s in concentrations >0.1% by weight with the exception of lead (CAS No: 7439-92-1) which is used as an alloying element in some free machining steels, stainless steels, aluminium alloys and brasses. The use of these products is safe and permitted under the regulations therefore no additional safety documentation is required.

WDS Components is committed to provide safe and high quality products to our customers, we have, and continue to work with our supply chain to ensure that none of these substances are knowingly contained in a quantity above the permitted value in the products we supply, or use for packaging and shipping.

Asbestos, Ozone Depleting Substances and Radionuclide 

Asbestos, ODS and RN and not intentionally added to any of our products or the materials they are packaged in.
